Late Victorian Schneider Home The Historic Schneider Home was built in 1888 by Henry Schneider, founder of Schneider Brewery in Trinidad. It sits impressively on Schneider Street in the Wooten-Schneider Sub Division. It is also the only home on this street. The property encompasses 1/3 of an acre or 5 city lots across from Central Park. Henry Schneider, a prominent business man, had the stairs, moldings, windows, doors and other architectural features shipped by train from the East. This triple brick home was laid by Mr. Schneider's brewery workers and some of the architectural features mirror the brewery in Trinidad. In 1990, without sacrificing any architectural elements, the inside of the home was "firred out" to allow for insulation. The triple brick construction along with the insulation make this home not only warm, but very quiet.
