LOCATION: This historic home is located in the town of Wister, OK. Wister is a small town with about 1,000 people and is located about 10 miles southwest of the county seat of Poteau, OK. Lake Wister State Park, which is a 7,300 acre lake with 5 camping areas, is only a couple of miles away. The larger city of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, population about 80,000, is roughly 32 miles away.
