Dan Duffy
Chief
Executive Officer
Dan Duffy
joined United Country as part of a
successful effort in February 2006 to secure
growth capital to support the rapid growth
of the United Country system. He serves as
the Company’s Chief Executive Officer and
Chairman of the Board of Directors. In his
role as CEO, Dan is principally responsible
for the establishment and execution of a
long-term strategy for United Country
designed to deliver competitive advantage to
United Country franchisee partners as they
operate in their local markets and serve
their clients. |
Prior to
joining United Country, Dan spent nearly
20 years focused on serving clients in a
number of senior
executive positions. Most recently Dan
served as the President and Chief
Executive Officer of Microsoft’s “2005
Global Partner of the Year” and largest
North American Microsoft Business
Solutions partner with over 20
offices serving 12,000 clients across
the United States and the U.K.
Prior to his tenure in the technology
services market space, Dan served as the
Chief Development and
Financial Officer of an online
business-to-business exchange serving
the auction and brokerage market for
industrial equipment and was a founding
member of the Chicago practice of The
Center for Strategic Transactions,
a division of Ernst & Young L.L.P.,
providing strategic and corporate
finance advisory services to Fortune 100
companies as well as high growth
technology, product and services
organizations across multiple
industries. |

Mike Duffy
President
Mike Duffy is focused on
bringing new, added value services, sales and
marketing
programs to United Country franchisees. With a
20-year background in marketing and
sales, helping to build such national brands as
Coca-Cola, Winston Cup NASCAR, RJ
Reynolds, Minute Maid, Community Coffee, and
numerous other well-known brands,
Mike is bringing this experience to build
recognition and understanding of the
United Country Real Estate brand with real estate
buyers and sellers. |
Most recently, Mike
served as Vice President of Community
Coffee and prior to that as a Vice
President of Marketing for Coca-Cola. In
addition to branding initiatives, Mike
has expertise in sales, building
strategic partnerships and launching new
programs.
Building on a track record of innovative
marketing and sales techniques, Mike has
extensive experience positioning
numerous brands with unique services and
tools to drive differentiation and
competitive advantage. Ultimately,
helping United Country franchisees gain
more listings, find more buyers and earn
higher commissions is the objective of
Mike’s efforts.
Mike received his MBA in Marketing and
Finance from Indiana University, his
undergraduate degree in Marketing from
LSU and has attended numerous management
and marketing post graduate programs.

Advertising classes as a visiting
speaker at LSU. |

Mike Jones,
CAI, GPPA
President, United
Country Auction Services
Mike Jones, an auctioneer since 1978, serves as
President of United Country Auction Services where
his primary role is to oversee operations and
support the nation’s largest integrated system of
real estate auctioneers. His goals include providing
United Country auctioneers with cutting edge and
industry changing processes to enhance their
individual company’s performance and to offer a wide
range of marketing & technology services as
well as project assistance. Mike has been a real
estate professional since 1983.

Early in his
career, he worked for several North Texas radio
stations as a news writer, producer, on-air
personality and filed reports for TSN the Texas
State Network. For 27 years, Mike owned and
operated his own international auction services
and appraisal company based in Dallas, Texas.
Mike served as the 56th President of the
National Auctioneers Association and the 36th
President of the
Texas Auctioneers Association. He was elected to
the TAA Hall of Fame in 2005. Mike is a past
chairman of
the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation
Auctioneers Education Advisory Board. He was
named the
1998 International Auctioneer Champion and the
1995 Texas State Champion Auctioneer. Mike is
Director
of the Texas Auction Academy, the auctioneer
training school for United Country. He has
conducted educational classes and seminars in
over 30 states and was the Keynote Speaker at
the South African Institute of Auctioneers
national convention in 2003. Mike has conducted
over 2,000 auctions globally for clients
including Fortune 500 companies and
international banks. |

David Dickey
Chief Operating
Officer
Most recently, David Dickey was Sr. Vice President
Professional Services for ePartners,
the Microsoft 2005 Partner of the Year specializing
in delivering, integrating and customizing solutions
tailored specifically for each client’s business
needs. The group has a concentration in Microsoft
.Net programming, Portal development services,
systems integration, and a
focus on ePartners’ core ERP and CRM product
offerings. |
Prior to joining
ePartners, David was Director of Worldwide
Professional Services at Pervasive Software
where
he led the services group in both North America
and Europe. The group focused on solving complex
database problems and had a specific practice in
replication and disaster recovery solutions.
David has spent a number of years in the
enterprise software space where he developed
mission critical software for a wide range of
businesses working with clients such as Saks
Fifth Avenue, Office Depot and Burlington
Northern.
David received his B.B.A. in Management
Information Systems from Texas Tech University,
continuing education from Kellogg School of
Management and is a graduate of the Stagen
Leadership Institute. |

Ashley L.
Appino
Director of
Affiliate Services
Ashley
Appino joined United Country in 2008, and brings
over 10 years of comprehensive affiliate services
and event management experience to our team. Prior
to joining United Country, Ashley was the Managing
Director of Member Programs for the National
Auctioneers Association. While at the NAA, she
developed and implemented member services, benefit
programs, as well as recruitment and retention
campaigns. Additionally, she was involved in the
overall growth of the organization and strategic
planning specifically relating to member
development. |
Prior to joining the auctioneers, Ashley
offered corporate marketing and sales
services to the largest golf course
management association in the industry.
Ashley is skilled in all aspects of meeting
and events planning, event strategy and
execution.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in
Communication Studies from the University of
Kansas and received her
M.B.A. from Baker University in 2006.
Ashley is also a graduate of Reppert Auction
School. |

Jason Cole
Chief Financial
Officer
Jason Cole brings over
12 years of financial experience to United Country.
After joining United Country over a year ago as
Controller, he was promoted to Chief Financial
Officer.
Prior to United Country, Jason spent seven years
with Walmart Stores Inc, in various financial roles,
last serving as Senior Accounting Manager for the
Corporate Traffic Department managing the payables
and receivables for the company. |
After Walmart, he
spent several years with Kansas City Southern
Railroad, last serving as Accounting Manager
helping prepare the monthly, quarterly and
yearly SEC reporting for the company, as well as
managing the inventory for the railroad. Jason’s
last position was Controller doing international
financial reporting for ThyssenKrupp Access, a
global German company. |

Shawn Terrel,
CAI, AARE
Vice President,
United Country Auction Services
Shawn Terrel CAI, AARE
brings a very extensive auction background to our
executive management team. Shawn has more than 15
years of professional auction and bid calling
experience in the United States. He currently sits
on the Board of Directors of the National
Auctioneers Association and is a past Chairman and
President of the Oklahoma State Auctioneers
Association. In 2007, Shawn was named the Oklahoma
State Champion Auctioneer. During his career in this
profession, Shawn has become recognized as one
of the industry’s authorities on conducting online
auctions and live internet auction simulcasts. He
participated in over 1,800 auctions and has
facilitated many of
these auctions incorporating online internet auction
solutions. |

Kevin Oldham
Vice President,
United Country Marketing Services
Kevin Oldham brings
over 14 years of marketing and advertising expertise
to the United Country team. Prior to joining United
Country, Kevin launched a marketing firm that
catered exclusively to real estate developers,
offering strategic solutions designed to generate
traffic for their projects. Prior to this
entrepreneurial venture, Kevin offered marketing
services for Kansas City’s largest residential real
estate broker and for an international
movie theatre circuit. Kevin earned his M.B.A. from
Baker University in 2007. |

Richard Thompson
National Vice
President of Sales
Richard Thompson joined
United in 1988 in the position of Region Vice
President,
becoming Division Vice President in 1995. He was
appointed Executive Vice President
of the Central Division in 2003. In his 31-year
career, Richard gained experience in
various levels of real estate sales and marketing,
including work as a sales
associate, broker and franchise owner. |
