Helps Educate Congressmen About Industry

joined
fellow members of the National
Auctioneers Association at the Nation’s
Capitol to participate in “Auction
Action on Capitol Hill Day”. During the
event, Jones and NAA delegates from
across the country, spoke to more than
80 members of congress to provide
education on the auction
industry and the industry’s impact on
the U.S. economy.
While in
Washington, DC, he attended a meeting
with Indiana Congressman Bill Souder
who provided an insiders view of how
things work on Capitol Hill and he met
with the offices of Senator’s Kay Bailey
Hutchison and John Cornyn as well as
Congressman Sam Johnson and Kenny
Merchant. Jones, who is a Government
Relations Committee member, has been
very active in industry lobbying efforts
and attended President Bush’s
Inauguration in 2005.
