National Auction Marketing Honors

May 22, 2011(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) – The National Auctioneers Association (NAA) has announced
that United Country Auction Services’ marketing division, United Marketing Service, has received awards
in multiple categories in the 2012 National Auctioneers Association Marketing Competition. Through this
annual contest, which is presented in partnership with USA TODAY, the nation’s most successful auction
marketing groups compete for coveted awards highlighting the most innovative and effective auction
marketing campaigns. This year marks the fifth consecutive year that United Country has been
recognized as award winners in the competition.

“The United Marketing Services team continues to innovate and lead the auction and real estate
marketing industry,” said Kevin Oldham, vice president of United Marketing Services. “We are honored
to be recognized by the NAA and USA Today for these prestigious awards.”

This year’s competition received more than 650 entries. Entries were judged by a panel of marketing
and advertising professionals with backgrounds in branding, promotion, public relations and graphic
design. Judging criteria included creativity, effectiveness, clarity and visual appeal.

Winners will be formally recognized during the NAA – USA TODAY Marketing Competition Awards Reception in Spokane, Washington at the 63rd International Auctioneers Conference & Show in July. Winners receive an award and their entries are displayed at the association’s annual conference.

Rich Kruse of United Country – Gryphon Realty & Auction of Columbus, Ohio, was the winner of the Online Advertising Campaign division in the Digital & Social Media Category.
