Lifestyle Real Estate Firm Reports Increases Across All Segments

September 9, 2014 – (KANSAS CITY, Mo.) – United Country Real Estate reported record web traffic in July, which was reflected in company sales numbers for the same period. The nation’s leading lifestyle1 real estate firm recently announced increased activity across each of the primary lifestyle property type segments in which they specialize.

“Both our traditional real estate and auction divisions showed solid sales growth in July and year-to-date,” said Jason Cole, chief financial officer of United Country Real Estate. “Total dollar sales have increased a strong 8 percent year-to-date propelled by average selling price increases. For July, dollar sales increases of 4 percent were driven more by unit sales increases versus July 2013. Both price appreciation and unit growth underscore the increase in numbers of buyers interested in lifestyle real estate."

Land has always been a core part of United Country sales and is the fasting growing segment for the company in 2014. Year-to-date, the firm saw a 16-percent increase in the volume of land sales with farms up an impressive 67 percent for July. Farm price per acre values remain at historical highs and demand remains strong, supporting the continued notable growth. Commercial volume was up 47 percent for July and 8 percent year-to-date responding to steady improvement in the overall economy. Residential sales remain stable and the largest segment of the United Country property types representing more than 50 percent of total unit and dollar volume sales year-to-date and over 65 percent in July.

The auction real estate division, which represents nearly 20 percent of United Country’s business, also achieved continued success in July. Land sales were up 20 percent in volume and 22 percent in average sale price. Year-to-date auctions were up 21 percent in acreage sold, 15 percent in volume and 17 percent in average sale price.  The auction method of marketing has proven a successful technique for finding the highest price for many of the high demand properties United Country represents; allowing multiple buyers to determine ultimate selling prices.  In most cases, auction selling prices of properties with more than one interested buyer exceed seller’s expectations and traditional listing price estimates.
