is probably the biggest draw to our town. You can stay in a 2-bedroom
2-bath condo on the final green of the championship 18-hole golf
course, or in a private cottage by the 13th tee. Beyond the golf
course and striking views of the Appalachian Mountains, you'll also
want to try the cuisine at Niblick's Restaurant, where the menu and
the atmosphere both appeal to all tastes, and the Sunday buffet is
always a popular draw. Don't forget to schedule some relaxation time
at the Mountain Angel Spa. The scenic
Blue Ridge Parkway runs past Laurel Fork, bringing many visitors
through town during warmer months. This road maintained by the
National Park Service runs through the Appalachian Mountains, past
national forests and cascading waterfalls. Wildlife is often visible
in the fields along the road.
Laurel Fork's Groundhog Mountain Scenic
Overlook is more than just a beautiful place to gaze out across the
mountains. The observation tower is constructed to resemble one of the
old tobacco barns that once dotted the region, |

and visitors can learn about the
outdated types of fencing used by early settlers. There's also a
picnic area and historic cemetery on the site.
Our town is roughly 20 miles away from Lovill's Creek Lake. This
55-acre lake near the town of Cana provides boating and tons of
fishing. Anglers can reel in largemouth bass, channel catfish,
bluegill, redear sunfish, crappie and more.
