New TV Series from Top Tennessee Broker: Looking at The Big Picture with Cindy Garvey of UCRE | Leipers Fork
By United Country Real EstateOctober 16, 2026
Cindy Garvey, UCRE | Leipers Fork broker & owner, is hosting a new TV show: The Big Picture. Tune in and learn all about Middle Tennessee real estate!
After more than 35 years in Middle Tennessee real estate,
one of United Country’s top real estate professionals, Cindy Garvey, owner
and principal broker at UCRE | Leipers
Fork, is stepping into an entirely new role: television host.
“The Big Picture” is an upcoming show on REAL Shows Network that will explore Middle
Tennessee through the properties, people, culture, and stories that give the breathtaking
region its rich character and beauty. While the area’s real estate properties
will be center stage, viewers shouldn’t expect to simply see grand and
traditional residences. Instead, “The Big Picture” aims to showcase what it is really
like to live in Middle Tennessee.
“We sell real estate, obviously, but that’s never the whole
story,” Garvey says. “We sell farms, land, homes, and unique properties because
we understand the lifestyle that comes with them. “The Big Picture” gives
us a chance to show that rather than just talk about it.”
Creating a Different Kind of Real Estate TV Show
While Garvey has watched and enjoyed many of the programs on
REAL Shows Network, “The Big Picture” isn’t intended to follow the traditional
real estate TV formula.
“I don’t want every episode to simply be, ‘Here’s a
beautiful house.’ There are already plenty of shows that do that very well,”
Garvey explains. “I want ours to be just as much about the people and
communities surrounding the properties as it is about the properties
themselves.”
One episode might introduce a remarkable piece of land.
Another could lead viewers to an interesting local business, a bit of Middle
Tennessee history, or a local resident, because Garvey believes everyone has a
story worth telling. Throughout the series, she will be showing how these unique
pieces fit together to create a place that many people are proud to call home
and that others dream of experiencing for themselves.
“We’re still learning what the show will become, and I think
that’s part of the fun,” Garvey adds.
The story-first approach of the show is a natural fit for
Garvey, whose decades in Middle Tennessee real estate has given her a deeper
level of understanding of the properties, people, and culture that make the
region what it is.
35 Years of Middle Tennessee Real Estate Experience
After more than 35 years working in Middle Tennessee real
estate, Garvey has watched communities evolve, relationships develop, and areas
once viewed as too far outside Nashville grow into highly desirable places to
live.
Her unique expertise is particularly important when it comes
to rural and lifestyle real estate, where buyers may be searching for much more
than a house. They might want acreage for horses, productive farmland, room to
build a business, recreational land, a country home just outside the city, or
simply a quieter way of life in one of the most beautiful regions in America.
A show focused on sharing local stories, properties, and
culture is enriched by having a host with deep roots in the area. Garvey has spent
decades helping people navigate one of life’s most important transitions within
Middle Tennessee. Her experience has included everything from first homes to
farms that have been worked and loved by the same family for generations.
“You realize you’re not simply selling acreage or square
footage,” Garvey says. “You’re helping someone move from one chapter of
their life into another.”
It’s that perspective, built over decades of working with
Middle Tennessee buyers, sellers, and properties, that helped inspire the
larger idea behind the show.
What Is It Really Like to Live in Middle Tennessee?
For people considering buying a home, farm, or land in
Middle Tennessee, a listing can only reveal so much. Photos can show you the
house. Acreage and property descriptions can outline the land. Maps can
identify the surroundings. As important as those elements are, they don’t
necessarily tell you what living there will actually be like.
“To me, “The Big Picture” is everything you don’t see in a
real estate listing,” the future TV show host says. “A property can be
beautiful, but there’s always more to the story: the people, the land, the
community around it, its history, and ultimately, the life someone hopes to
create there.”
Nashville may be Middle Tennessee’s most recognizable city,
with tourists piling in to see Music Row and trying the nation’s best hot
chicken dishes, but the region offers so much more beyond the city limits.
“Nashville gets a tremendous amount of attention, and
deservedly so, but Middle Tennessee is much bigger than Nashville,” Garvey says.
Travel outside the big city and you’ll find a different side
of Tennessee, one that is typically reserved for locals and is shaped by farms,
rolling hills, working land, horses, historic communities, locally owned
businesses, music, and small towns that continue to maintain identities of
their own. It’s this version of Middle Tennessee that the show hopes to
highlight.
That contrast is also part of the appeal for people who are considering
a move to Middle Tennessee. Depending on where they decide to settle, residents
can remain within reach of the opportunities, culture, and amenities associated
with Nashville while experiencing open land and small-town atmospheres.
“You can live downtown, on five acres, on a working farm, in
a historic community, or somewhere completely tucked away,” Garvey says.
There’s truly no single way to live here, and that variety is a major part of
the story she hopes to tell.
How to Watch The Big Picture
Filming for “The Big Picture” is currently underway, and the
entire United Country community is eagerly awaiting its premiere. The official premiere
date and viewing information will be announced through REAL Shows Network and
UCRE | Leipers Fork channels once details are finalized.
Garvey hopes viewers enjoy learning about an area that she
loves so much, and ultimately come away understanding, “that there's always
more to the story.”
From Leipers Fork and Franklin to other hidden gems around
Williamson County and beyond, “The Big Picture” will showcase Middle Tennessee
by the very professional who has spent her life dedicated to the people, heritage,
and the land that supports them.
“If someone finishes an episode having learned something,
met someone interesting, discovered a place they didn't know existed, or simply
thought, ‘I'd like to see that for myself someday,’ then I think we've done
what we set out to do.”
