United Country Agent Tanette Smith Earns Historic Dual Recognition in Best of the West Awards

United Country Real Estate | Real Colorado Properties agent Tanette Smith has achieved an incredible achievement in Western Colorado real estate, earning Bronze honors in both the Best Commercial Real Estate Agent and Best Residential Real Estate Agent categories in the prestigious Best of the West awards.

The recognition is especially significant as no individual real estate agent has previously placed in both of these community-voted category awards, making Smith's achievement a historic first.

Hosted by the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel, the Best of the West awards recognize top businesses and professionals across the Grand Valley of Colorado. Nominees are selected by the community before they advance to the public for community voting. Winners are recognized with gold, silver, and bronze placements within each category.

For Smith, the dual honor reflects nearly two decades of dedication to helping clients achieve their real estate goals across a wide range of property types.

Smith began her real estate career in 2007, initially working part-time before stepping away from the industry for a period. After returning to real estate, she joined UCRE | Real Colorado Properties in 2017 and committed to the profession full-time.

Specializing in both residential and commercial properties, she also has experience helping clients buy or sell farm and ranch real estate. Her ability to serve diverse markets has contributed to several notable transactions this year, including the sale of a $2.35 million luxury ranch property where she and fellow United Country agent, David Woodward, successfully represented both sides of the transaction after Smith brought the buyer to the deal.

An additional example of her exemplary ability to help her clients is when Smith helped facilitate the sale of a local restaurant that closed for $1.2 million in April. She co-listed the property with United Country agent, Mike Krieg, and represented the buyer in the transaction.

While she regularly handles large-scale sales, Smith is equally passionate about helping first-time homebuyers enter the market. She frequently works with down payment assistance programs and takes pride in guiding buyers through one of the most important purchases of their lives.

“Whether it’s a first-time homebuyer or a multi-million-dollar property, I enjoy helping people achieve their goals,” Smith said. “I get to work with clients across both ends of the spectrum, and that’s one of the things I love most about this business.”
