Established in 1946, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is a subdivision of the U.S. Department of the Interior. Most BLM land is located in the Western half of the U.S. in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
