There is a starlink device mounted on the roof for staying connected. The solar panels feed into the battery banks to store power. There is a generator for backup or when the demands of the cabin are high. Water collection was developed to supply water to the cistern for the cabin. There is also a pump to pump water from the creek to the cistern. A propane tank is above ground and supplies the house with propane for cooking and keeps the refrigerator/freezer working.

With over-the-counter elk tags in unit 62 you can hunt each year and apply for mule deer buck tags that can be draw every couple years. If shed hunting is your hobby you will love the endless shed hunting opportunities the ranch and surrounding area have to offer. In addition, there are desert bighorn sheep in the area and can often be seen in the fall and winter in the valley on the way into the ranch.

The ranch has 44% interest in the Cowger Ditch along with .88 CFS of the #H-110 decree to water the aproximatly 24 acres of meadow. With alfalfa and native pasture grass mixed in the meadow can be a mule deer magnet or it is great livestock feed for a few horses or some cows for a short period of time. Currently there are no perimeter fences so the cattle on the public cattle permit come on the property.
