Tom was born in Wisconsin, and his family moved to Northern Idaho in 1982. He has had the privilege of growing up in beautiful Coeur d’Alene/Hayden Lake Idaho enjoying the exceptional outdoor recreational activities the Pacific Northwest offers. Tom earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Idaho in Forest Products Management in 2003. After graduating from college Tom spent 14 years working in the private sector of forest management for Timber Investment Management Organizations, private industrial timberland owners, and co-founded a successful forestry consulting company.
From 2013-2017, Tom managed 48,000 acres of privately owned timberland while also earning his real estate license in Idaho and Washington State. Within that four-year period Tom successfully managed the closing of over 20 real estate transactions with a total sale value exceeding 15 Million dollars. Tom’s creativity and entrepreneurial spirit makes him a very effective real estate professional/forester, that can find simple solutions to complex problems. He is a proactive and results driven professional who has a true passion for helping clients achieve their personal and investment real estate goals.
Tom joined the United Country Real Estate team in 2017, and opened the independently owned United Country Real Estate: Northwest Land & Lifestyle Properties brokerage in beautiful Hayden, Idaho. Tom’s vast experience and knowledge of real estate in the Pacific Northwest make him truly a “one-stop shop” for any type of real estate or land use transaction. By joining the international United Country Real Estate team, Tom has an unprecedented national marketing platform, and access to a propriety list of over 700,000 buyers for literally every category of lifestyle properties, including luxury residential offerings.
Tom is a member of the national, state and local real estate associations and has received extensive education in the areas of negotiation, marketing, finance/valuation, real estate law, and 1031/1033 exchanges.
