In 1995, Anita founded Main Street Realty, a successful real estate company in Sonora, Texas. Recently, she expanded her reach by purchasing a United Country Real Estate Franchise in 2024.

After graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in Agriculture Economics in 1989, she and her husband Keith Hudson returned to the family ranch in Sutton County. They raised their two sons, John Duke Hudson and Word Balch Hudson, both of whom are now partners in her real estate and ranching businesses.

Her greatest joy, however, is being a Cita to her five precious grandchildren.
